Caroline Little is the Director of Government Affairs at Playground Global, where she guides policy strategy, non-dilutive funding, and regulatory engagement for the firm and its portfolio companies. She brings over a decade of experience in national security and defense, having served in multiple senior roles at the Department of Defense, including Senior Advisor for Strategic Engagement to the Deputy Secretary of Defense, Financial Systems Analyst in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller) and senior researcher for the PPBE Reform Commission, where she authored the Digital Modernization section of the final report. Her background also includes leadership positions in AI and technology strategy at the DoD Joint Artificial Intelligence Center and in the DoD Chief Information Office.
Caroline started her career in Washington DC in the U.S. House of Representatives and at the Heritage Foundation. A graduate of Appalachian State University with a B.A. in Political Science, Caroline lives in Northern Virginia with her husband and three children, where she enjoys hobby farming.
