Rasheed Auguste

Rasheed focuses on deep tech investments across industrial transformation, focusing on materials, manufacturing, energy, and decarbonization. 

Rasheed's professional career has been at the intersection of breakthrough science and helping companies scale. At the US Department of Energy, he advised risk strategy for FOAK energy demonstration projects, advised new funding solicitations, and authored energy industry reports. Rasheed earned his Master's and PhD in Nuclear Engineering, complemented by a Master's in Public Policy from UC Berkeley. In graduate school, he consulted for think tanks and philanthropies on energy policy and market strategy around the world. His dissertation focused on non-destructive testing of structural materials under extreme conditions. Before that, he earned dual bachelor's degrees in Physics & Nuclear Science from MIT.

Outside of sourcing deals and supporting companies, Rasheed enjoys watching soccer, reading, and visiting museums, but not at the same time.
